boobs!

You know you love 'em!

I spent the day at the beach today, as I do on many days. For some reason I think about boobs a lot when I'm at the beach. Probably because they are all out there for everyone to see. How do you not take notice? Although, today I didn't notice much plastic (possibly because I just wasn't paying attention).

I don't like to admit that I'm judgmental, but I rarely shy away from pointing out the obvious breast enhancement. It might not be so much that I'm judging, as that I find it entertaining.

Here's the deal...... I'm not opposed to fake boobs at all! Mine are real and I know that I am extremely fortunate for that. If I didn't have them, I'm sure I would want them! I'm not going to lie.

I'm under the impression that many girls don't consider some important factors before permanently altering the bodies. I'm not an expert on this subject, just a girl who does a lot of observing! I live in OC, how could I not?

First of all, DO RESEARCH!!! Do lots of research! Check out the surgeon and pictures of boob jobs he (or she) has done. I'm not even joking, I have seen some of the most appalling boobs! So gross. For NO reason should boobs look like plastic. Boobs are soft, mostly fat, not muscle! Therefor they should not look like someone cut a small soccer ball in half and inserted it under a patients skin. I wish I could ask girls I've seen who their doctors were, so I could compose a list of doctors to avoid.

Second, as a designer I pay close attention to the human body. Bodies are proportionate! My boobs are proportionate to my.... uh.... equally proportionate.... butt.... It's called an hour glass shape! So if you have the hips to balance bigger boobs, do it! Otherwise choose a size that could possible occur in nature. If you are 5 feet tall and a size 0, maybe you should go with something smaller than a DD, or even a D for that matter! However, if you want to look fake, disregard my advice completely.

So just to clarify, I'm not saying anything against breast enhancements. I'm just saying, if you are going to do it, take a couple things into consideration. Would you rather have small boobs or have people laugh when you walk by??? Don't just go with the doctor who has the "best deal." There's probably a reason why that doctor needs the business!

If you're going to do it..... DO IT RIGHT!!!

People are afraid to be themselves. I'll never wonder who i am later in life, like so many of the plastic people will, someday.

The subject of what it means to be real, has got me thinking a lot lately. I receive messages saying, "you seem real," "you don't look like you're stuck up," and other similar things. I honestly don't know what makes me appear different from other girls. If you have any idea, please enlighten me.

With all the blonde haired, blue eyed, big boobed, tan, OC girls out there. What sets me apart as "real." I'm convinced looks have very little to do with it. Is being real essentially in the attitude of the individual?

What is society coming to when finding a girl who is "real" is an anomaly? Why do women feel the need to be someone they are not? What makes me any different from the others?

Why can it be assumed, though looking at my MySpace page that i am in fact real? I'm like any other OC girl, right?

This is how i see it...... If you casually take a look around MySpace, you are likely to find pages and pages of girls who feel the need to prove how often they get drunk and that they have tons of friends. I, on the other hand don't feel the need to prove anything. A few months ago I dramatically reduced the info available on my page. I don't need to prove anything to anyone. Yes, I am a huge music fan, but I no longer need to give the detailed list of what bands I know or like. I don't need to prove through excessive photos how much i drink or party or that i can pull of a ridiculously skanky outfit if i want to.

In no way am i saying I'm better than anyone else. I just want to know what sets one girl apart from the rest, when it comes to being true. Maybe the people who send me these messages say that to everyone.

My advice for anyone teetering on FAKE:

LIVE your life NOW. Stop trying to create an image of yourself, which may not be true. People will take notice when you stop trying so hard to be like the rest of the pack. You will never have to look back and wonder what life could have been like if you just hadn't tried so hard.
